Cooking & Meals

The answer to what's for dinner, already decided.

Your recipes are scattered across bookmarks, screenshots, and a shoebox of handwritten cards. Bring them into one library, plan the week from it, and stop starting the dinner decision from zero every night.

How it works

The pile comes in once. After that, the week plans itself and the grocery list writes itself.

1

Bring the pile in

Paste a recipe URL and we pull the title, ingredients, instructions, and photo. Type one in by hand, or describe what you're after and we'll draft it. Keep them in collections that match how you actually cook — weeknight, batch day, the ones the kids will eat.

2

Plan the week

Drop recipes into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack slots on a week you can see at a glance — or let us draft the whole week against your dietary needs and what you've been cooking lately. Meal plans land on the shared calendar automatically.

3

Turn it into a grocery list

One tap builds the list from the plan, merging duplicate ingredients across recipes and rounding to what you can actually buy — two recipes needing half an onion become one onion. Items group by aisle so the store trip follows the store.

4

Cook it, then remember it

Cook mode holds the screen awake and runs step timers inline while your hands are busy. Afterwards, mark it cooked — Nexly tracks how often you've made something and when you last did, which is what stops the rotation collapsing to the same eight meals.

Everything for your kitchen

Built for the person who ends up doing the thinking about dinner — on their own, with a partner, or across a whole household.

Recipe import

Paste any recipe URL and we pull the title, ingredients, instructions, and image — structured data where the site has it, read off the page where it doesn't.

Draft a recipe

Describe what you're in the mood for and we write the full thing — ingredients, steps, and timings you can edit before you save it.

Meal plans

Weekly or custom-range plans with a slot per meal. Draft a whole week in one go, then move things around as the week changes.

Grocery lists that merge

Generated from the plan, with duplicate ingredients combined across recipes and grouped by aisle.

Real-time check-off

Split the shop and watch items tick off live on each other's phones. The list shows how much is left, not just what's on it.

Cook mode

Step-by-step on your phone with inline timers and the screen held awake, so it doesn't sleep mid-simmer.

A rotation that remembers

Track what you've cooked and how often, so the good ones resurface instead of getting lost in the pile.

Something to drink with it

Ask for a pairing on any recipe or meal plan and we'll suggest one, drawing on the bottles you've already rated.

Collections

Group recipes into themed lists, and share individual recipes with another group as a viewer or a full owner.

An assistant that knows your kitchen

Ask for dinner ideas and you get answers shaped by what you've actually rated, cooked, and said you can't eat — not generic suggestions. It can scrape a recipe you found, add it to a collection, draft next week's plan, and start the shopping list, all from the same conversation. Because it reads across the rest of your Nexly library too, the Portuguese food you loved in Lisbon can turn into next Tuesday's dinner.
